Professional Development Courses

A+M's professional and positive approach, combined with innovative thinking and practical solutions, have been key elements of the wide range of partnerships we have undertaken We offer facilitated 'awaydays' and development days for local authority arts teams and arts partnerships. Themes have included: focus, motivation and 'survival skills' for individual team members; working effectively as a team in an arts context; developing arts strategy/policy; communicating arts messages to council members and officers in other departments. Previous clients include Birmingham City Council and the Greater Manchester Arts Officers Network.

MusicLeader is a national Youth Music initiative that aims to provide access to training and professional development for music leaders at every stage of their career. Arts+Media and MusicLeader West Midlands worked together to deliver business skills training for musicians and those working in music provision for young people in the West Midlands area.

In 2007-08 A+M supported a successful consortium bid, with Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce and Coventry and Stafford and Warwickshire Local Authorities, to deliver business support within the region on behalf of Business Link West Midlands.
