
Dilwara Begum
Dilwara Begum is a freelance visual artist who facilitates and manages art workshops and projects when working with arts organisations, community groups and in the education sector to provide participants with positive and creative experiences.
As a practising artist, Dilwara creates artworks on commission (private and public) and for exhibitions. She has exhibited in England, France and Russia. Her work explores personal journeys, experiences, memories, nature, environment, recycling and identity. She uses her work to inspire others through exhibitions, artist talks, related workshops, projects and an education program.
Dilwara has worked on number of successful projects including:
- Working in partnership with teachers to explore creative methods of teaching the national curriculum using visual arts to engage and enhance pupils learning
- Exploring and delivering cross curriculum projects
- Family learning projects
- Opportunity to engage and enable parents to work and connect with their children using visual arts
- Facilitating projects that engage parents to experience arts and give them a better understanding of creative learning and development
- Cultural, faith and heritage based projects that explores ones identity and opens the mind to experience, understand and respect similarities and differences, while participating in the arts

Dilwara works with mixed media, photography, text (words), textiles to explore and express. She uses an organic approach to all her work that allows flexibility to develop, challenge, reflect and excel.
