Creative Partners required for Creative Partnerships Staffordshire

Cooper Perry is a small primary school, located in the picturesque village of Seighford in Staffordshire. The Pupils enjoy a rich and balanced curriculum delivered by confident, professional staff members who promote enjoyment and fun throughout the school. The Victorian school building provides the setting for a broad education irrespective of age, ability, race or creed; and links both Nationally and internationally are in place with other schools to further enrich our pupils learning. At Cooper Perry we are keen to innovate and develop ways to look at learning in order to allow each child to blossom and achieve beyond their own expectations.  We are looking for practitioners with experience in radio, as a broadcaster, presenter, producer or writer.  The curricula area is literacy, geography, history.

Project Brief: For our Enquiry School Project, we would like to explore the topic area of ‘Stafford Then and Now” with a skilled practitioner who can enrich, inspire and provide new approaches for us. Working with our year 3 and 4’s we would like to research areas such as Memories of Stafford, Life in Elizabethan Stafford, World War Two in this area, place names, and draw rich knowledge and experience from our local residence and community leaders. We would like to do this through the medium of Radio interviews and possibly radio drama shows written and performed by the pupils. To help us to achieve this, we would like hear from a Radio presenter, broadcaster, producer, writer or indeed a Radio station…. Our school is fortunate enough to be equipped with the following to assist with the project production. Knowledge of this equipment is desirable but not essential:

12 Track Spirit Folio Mixing desk, a separate performance room with viewing window, 6 professional microphones, radio microphones, Alesis Micro Verb FX processor, Denon separate recorders – MP3, Mini Disc, C.D and cassette, power amplifiers. A speaker/broadcast system linked to every room and corridor in the school.
