Artist in Residence required in the West Midlands
Behind Closed Doors, an outdoor artist project space in Birmingham, has an artist in residence opportunity at The Rea Garden.
The 10 week residency involves working on site at least one day a week, usually Friday, whilst the site is open to the public. There is unlimited access to the site at all other times if the artist wants. There is a two week exhibition and private viewing of work created during the residency. The artist fee is £1,000 and there is a materials bursary of up to £500 available.
They are highly interested in site specific artworks that relate to The Rea Garden. The Rea Garden Artist Residency programme is funded by Arts Council England and The National Lottery.
