Course Details
Increasingly partnerships are at the heart ofarts projects, often involving working with all kinds of organisations outside the arts sector. This course will look at every stage of the partnership process, from the original idea through to monitoring and evaluation, and offer practical advice and guidance on how to achieve successful outcomes when working in collaboration or partnership.
Who is it for?
Arts Officers, arts managers and individual artists - anyone who creates, produces, manages or delivers projects or works in partnership with others and who wants to make things happen – successfully.
Participants need to have had some experience of managing, producing or creating projects, either in the voluntary or commercial sector.
Outline
Using a range of different materials and teaching methods, including discussion, group work and exercises, the course will explore every aspect of partnership working. Participants will be encouraged to apply what they learn to their own work and projects. The course will cover:
- Clearly defining the scope of a project
- Identifying appropriate partners
- Presenting the project in the most appropriate manner
- Making the right partnership
- Managing the relationship(s)
- Ensuring the best possible outcomes
Participants will have guidelines and a range of tools and techniques to help them work successfully in any partnership.
