This course is designed for new, sole trader artists and arts workers who are either planning to set up a new website, or want to improve an existing one.
Outline
This full day workshop is designed to give an overview of low cost Internet marketing opportunities available to business start-ups, entrepreneurs and small businesses. It will provide delegates with information they need to make the right choices when planning a website, looking to generate substantial traffic to a website, and taking advantage of Internet advertising and communications tools.
The course covers the following areas:
- Planning the launch of a new website
- Getting found in Google: Search engine optimisation
- Your Internet Marketing Toolbox: Email marketing, Blogging & Pay Per Click
- Commercial and legal issues of online marketing
- What’s new: Twitter, mashups, Web 2.0 and more...
At the end of the day, participants will have a grasp of all the elements they need to consider when setting up a website, plus the skills to put together a development brief tailored to their needs that can be shared with a web designer or used to guide their own web development activities.
