Course Details

It will be an action packed day, providing the information you need to set your Internet marketing priorities and helping you to develop your own plan of action.  Bring your questions along; there will be plenty of time for discussion.

Who is it for?

This course is designed for new, sole trader artists and arts workers who are either planning to set up a new website, or want to improve an existing one.

Outline

This full day workshop is designed to give an overview of low cost Internet marketing opportunities available to business start-ups, entrepreneurs and small businesses.  It will provide delegates with information they need to make the right choices when planning a website, looking to generate substantial traffic to a website, and taking advantage of Internet advertising and communications tools.

The course covers the following areas:

  • Planning the launch of a new website
  • Getting found in Google: Search engine optimisation
  • Your Internet Marketing Toolbox: Email marketing, Blogging & Pay Per Click
  • Commercial and legal issues of online marketing
  • What’s new: Twitter, mashups, Web 2.0 and more...

At the end of the day, participants will have a grasp of all the elements they need to consider when setting up a website, plus the skills to put together a development brief tailored to their needs that can be shared with a web designer or used to guide their own web development activities.
