How do you know whether your project has been successful or not? What does success mean? This course will enable you to find the answers to those questions for your own projects and activities and equip you with the skills required to develop appropriate monitoring and evaluation plans.
Who is it for?
The course is for anyone who would like advice and guidance on the fundamentals of monitoring and evaluating projects.

The course covers the following areas:
- Why you need to do it
- How to establish what needs monitoring
- Building in monitoring and evaluation from the start
- Special considerations for creative projects
- Different methods of monitoring and evaluating - how to do it creatively
- A brief look at how can it fit with the new Comprehensive Performance Assessment indicators and Arts Council guidance for local authorities
- Tips and hints on how to recognise pitfalls and avoid falling into them
Participants will have guidelines and a range of techniques to help them monitor and evaluate creative projects.
