Who is it for?

Outline
Using a range of methods including trainer input, discussion, group work and practical exercises, this one day workshop will focus on things to consider before embarking on a one-off or series of arts workshops. It will cover all the stages involved in successful workshops:
- What qualities and skills the successful workshop leader needs
- Running your own workshops or working under commission and contracts
- Learning styles and motivations

Participants will gain practical tips to help them when they start to work on their own workshops, as well as having an opportunity to work with other artists and designers to test out ideas and share experiences.
At the end of this one day course, participants will have:
- An increased understanding of the stages involved in successful workshops
- An understanding of the range of delivery methods and structures
- Increased confidence in designing and handling materials and course content
