Course Details
This course is part of the DART (Developing the Arts through Regional Training) project and is only for artists and arts workers based in Greater Manchester.
Who is it for?
The course is for anyone who would like advice and guidance on the fundamentals of monitoring and evaluating projects.
Outline
Once you've set up your project, how do you find out whether it is successful or not? What does success mean? This course will enable you to monitor and evaluate projects and other activities.
The course covers the following areas:
- Why you need to do it
- How to establish what needs monitoring
- Building in monitoring and evaluation from the start
- Special considerations for creative projects
- Different methods of monitoring and evaluating - how to do it creatively
- A brief look at how can it fit with the new Comprehensive Performance Assessment indicators
- Tips and hints on how to recognise pitfalls and avoid falling into them
