Our History
Arts+Media Training was established in 1991 as a consortium-based collaboration of Coventry arts practitioners and organisations including the Belgrade Theatre, Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry and Warwickshire Co-operative Development Agency, Coventry City Council’s Arts Service and Coventry Artists’ Cooperative; it was incorporated as Arts+Media Training Consortium (Coventry) Ltd in 1996; and registered a change of name to Arts+Media Training Ltd in July 2002.
In 2004 A+MT amended and updated its Memorandum and Articles of Association, in recognition of its expanded field of work, and it registered as a Charity in August 2004.
In 2008 we moved into the Institute for Creative Enterprise and shortened our name to Arts+Media.
Over the 17 years of our existence we have moved from being an organisation primarily concerned with delivering one-day, entry level courses to one that creates long term, sustainable relationships with partners in order to deliver benefits to the sector. A+M is keen to retain its identity as a leading independent training provider which provides solutions bespoke to the arts sector.
