Daxa Parmar upon graduating in 1995 was tipped at being, ‘One of the Best New Designers in the UK’ by Time Out magazine. For the last 7 years she has been producing expressionist vibrant canvasses. Private and commercial clients throughout the East Midlands have commissioned Daxa and her largest commission sits in the Headquarters of The Princes Trust in Central London. Daxa regularly exhibits at the Northampton Gallery & Museum. In 2007, Daxa was awarded a Grant for Arts Development Award, which gave her an opportunity to develop her painting style, which accumulated in a solo show in Northamptonshire. Daxa has been awarded a place at Loughborough University to begin studying for a MA in Art and Design from September 2009.

Daxa has a strong background in training, specialising in using the Visual Arts to deal with organisational and developmental issues. She has worked on behalf of Milton Keynes Arts for Health devising and delivering an arts training programme for employees at Excelcare Holdings as well as writing and delivering a Change Management workshop dealing with the issues of
redundancy for Tui Thomson Holidays. Since 2001 Daxa has worked with schools throughout the East Midlands to enrich curriculum delivery, including delivering successful projects with the national governmental Creative Partnerships Programme. Daxa has sat on the Advisory Board of Arts and Business East Midlands and was awarded, ‘The Best Creative Business of 2004 East Midlands’. As a Trainer she has been employed to write and deliver CPD workshops as well as act as a Mentor for Midlands’s arts organisation, Arts and Media. In addition she has delivered Creative Pre-start Up workshops on behalf of The Public, West Bromwich and The Princes Trust East Midlands.

As a Visual Practitioner who has a track record of devising and delivering art expression programmes with schools and communities throughout the East Midlands. Since 2001 Daxa has worked with schools to enrich curriculum delivery, specialising in working with Special Needs Schools. Daxa has also delivered successful projects with the national governmental Creative
Partnerships Programme. Her work in using the Visual Arts as an educational tool has been extended further through 2 commissions of resource loan boxes commissioned by The Northampton Museum. Her work within the community ranges from working with young people in Northamptonshire Arts Meets Environment Festival, to delivering projects with clients who suffer from mental illness at Northampton’s St Andrews Hospital, to working with the general public through local government projects. Daxa will be producing 2 stadium pieces of artwork with children with special needs for the July 2009 Special Olympics opening ceremony at Walkers Stadium. She will also be a resident Artist throughout the Special Olympics creating artwork with athletes and their families in the Olympic Village.
